Living Hell on earth ! 人间地獄

Once upon a time, there was a Christian friend, living in big town, his income was small, 500 per month, like a poor mice in a big town. In doing his normal work, he will write some articles and comments in the Newspaper, to get extra money from the Newspaper. Since he has no office at home, he will go to places like KFC and Macdonald to do his office works and finishing paper works. There, he can enjoy some cool air and a private corner. Sometimes, drinking a good cup of tea or coffee, (Ecc. 3:13). Life had to go on.

His wife is a very hard working woman; she works in a farm nearby his house. Keeping a lot chickens and ducks, and she kept a few dogs, the dogs will look after the farm at night. Everyday, she wakes up early in the morning because she had to get food for the chickens and ducks, she collected a lot of waste from the nearby restaurants and shops, and the waste will be fed to the chickens and ducks. In return she will sell the eggs, the chickens and ducks to the market, in making more money. She works harder.

Life is hard for them. I started to realize about this. One day, I visited the man house and I saw a few Chinese words written at one of his door, “Living hell on earth人间地獄.” What a freezing and chilling truth about our life. I knew they are desperately hard working and keep on witnessing and trying to be a good witness for the Lord. I felt sad about the poverty, but I CANNOT HELP THEM, because I still do not know what life is. Who cares? I never forget the wordings on that door, “Living hell…..” At first, I just smile away at the first glance at those wording, but the wording nearly become true, one day at his rooftop. Let me tell you the rest and understood the meaning of those wording.

The Christian friend’s daughters were also very hard working; they are earning money to build a new house. Toiling under the sun, the daughter will let her son and daughter to stay at the man house. So my friend the grandfather and grandmother will take turn to look after the young grandson and granddaughter.

One day, the man and his wife were busy with their works outdoor. And his daughters were working some where in the town. The grandson and grand daughters were home alone at the man’s house. One of the granddaughters, climbed up the rooftop, and walking at the edge of the rooftop. She is so young, 3 years old, she does not know how danger is in walking at the edge of the rooftop. If she fell, she will be hurt or dead, since the building is very high.

By the mercy of the Lord, an Indonesian maid was walking a few blocks away, she saw the young girl playing up there at the edge of the rooftop, she cannot do anything, accept yelling at the young girl. So yelled and shouted at her, the younger girl heard the yelling and the shouting, she sacred off, quickly get away from the edge of the roof top, and went back in the house, she was saved by an unbeliever. Thank God.

The whole family was shocked in hearing what happened to the granddaughter, when they are toiling and working to earn money, to build a new and bigger house. A member of the family was nearly being sacrificed for the new house. What a cost in building this new and bigger house. How to pay the debt in building that new house? Does any one care?

A few distance away, there was a busy Christian preacher, he was eating at a big round table, be merry with his friends and families, having big fish, lot of meat, vegetables, drinking and eating happily, having a lot of credit cards in his wallet, giving discounts to his customers, making a lot of money. Spending and spending. Earning and earning. Building big and tall mansion and driving big cars. What a life on earth. He did not see the young girl on top the rooftop, because he is busy thinking about his big mansion.

A few distance away, there was a another man, with a few theologian friends, with some doctors, they are selling Bible, they are busy selling the Perfect Bible, and some of them are selling KJV, and a few of them are teaching the VPP to the young boys and girls, and some are standing and taking the Dean Burgeon Oath at the street. All of them did not see the young girl on top the rooftop, because they are busy looking for people on the street. And one of them shouted, “Bible, Bible, free perfect Bible.” But only a few people look back to them. All are very busy with their works.

The Christian friend in the big town, he taken some debts and build his new house, but not long after the new building was build, he was fallen in sickness, and he was dead, his family moaned for him. I also moaned and visited his family in his new house. I try to look for wordings at his doors; the new doors were well painted. No more wordings.

A Buddhist friend told me that he remember a verse from the Bible, and he was very impressed about this verses, I asked him what impressed him, since the Bible is so thick, which is the most impressive Bible verse for him, even he wanted to memorizes it and wanted me to know about, he told me, “Vanity of vanities….vanity of vanities; all is vanities.” I was in a blank shock, when he read those wording from the Word of the Lord to me, it is Ecclesiastes 1:2. How true, it is, vanity of vanity….

Should we sacrifice our family members to build a house of God?

Who is poorest among us ? Let him chast a stone first.
